Nintendo gave us an exciting first look at the newest Tomodachi Life game during today's Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Direct. This is the first new game in the series in over ten years. Fans got a taste of what to expect when the game comes out on April 16 for the Nintendo Switch™. It will also work with the Nintendo Switch 2.

In Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, players can bring Mii characters to life on a lively and unpredictable island. These characters can be based on real people, like family and friends, or made up. You can change everything about your Miis, from their personalities and quirks to their homes. Then, you can watch as they go on all kinds of funny and surprising adventures. 

Help them talk about their problems, make friends, and do other things that will help them. You can fully enjoy your Miis' unique island experiences by checking in on them every day, since time in the game is like time in real life.

In Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, players can make Mii characters that are family members, friends, or island residents and give them their own unique personalities. The way you design each Mii can change how you experience your island, making it one of a kind. Try out different looks and characteristics to make your island community bigger in fun and unexpected ways!

To build a Mii, you can either choose "Get Help" to answer questions about facial traits or "From Scratch" to pick from a list of face forms, hairstyles, eyes, and more. The game adds additional face paint and face possibilities, which lets you make very unique avatars. You can even change the names, body type, height, gender, voice, and personality attributes like enthusiasm, eccentricity, and more.

After they are made, Mii require help getting used to their new home. Put residents close to each other and watch how they connect. They might talk about their favorite foods or bond over interests like monster trucks. Up to eight Miis can live together as roommates in one house. Living with other people might lead to fun and dramatic circumstances that you didn't foresee, which makes your island feel alive.

Your Miis can enjoy a variety of shops and facilities:

● Where & Wear: shop for everyday outfits or unique costumes

● T&C Reno: redecorate rooms or create dream living spaces, including unusual rooms like supermarkets or libraries

● Marketplace: purchase daily items with prices changing depending on the time of day

● Quik Build: gather decorations and amenities

● MNN News Station: keep updated with island events

● Foto-Tomo: stage memorable photo opportunities

You can make your own parts for your island in the Palette House Workshop. You can make pets, drinks, sketches of your favorite TV shows, clothes, house exteriors, and ground tiles. You may even come up with whole new things to make your island feel more like home and alive.

Use landscaping elements like trees, plants, seats, vending machines, or playground rides to change the way your island looks. Change the layout of businesses and houses, make land areas bigger, and listen to what residents have to say—or just make the island look the way you want it to.

Make Mii even more memorable by giving them unique qualities. Give them preferred poses, eating habits, sleep patterns, or catchphrases to make their personalities more interesting. Try out different peculiarities for each Mii to make your island's people genuinely unique.
